Nano Banana 2

Google launched Nano Banana 2 (gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview) yesterday, and it is now the default model in the Nano Banana component. It delivers Pro-quality image generation at Flash speed - a meaningful upgrade if you are using AI image generation in your Convex apps.

What changed

gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview is the new default model - no config changes needed.
Combines the image quality of Gemini Pro models with the low latency of Flash.
All existing Nano Banana features work as before: text-to-image, image editing, persistent Convex storage, and real-time status tracking.

To pick up the new default, just ask your agent to read the nano banana documentation and update to the new model.
